Finally, some attention from the freak-set!
Now, being fully endorsed by the smut-swillin' folks, we're going to start working hard to bring a show to bear and introduce some new material. Details soon to follow. Until then:
=========================== Having recommended two rock-n-roll CDs for all you local music fans, I felt the need to mix it up a bit, to show that The Sinner is hardly a one dimensional publication, in case that wasn't already obvious. And I couldn't have found a better band than The Fog People to make my point.
Their latest CD, City of Night, is a dark and eerie trip down a rabbit hole full of erotica, sex, and general sleaze. Band member Michael Hayes White describes the new production as "a story that everyone knows from some point of view: people want something they shouldn't, they like to get it, everything falls apart, the end. It's the next chapter in the oldest story, isn't it? Boy meets girl, boy meets OTHER girl..."
Their MySpace page describes their unique sound as dark pop, but mentions their pleasure with a fan's description, "fleetwood mactronica". I am not exactly sure of what that means, but I promise this CD is sure to make a lasting impression, even more so when the candles are burning and love making is in the air.
